Privacy Policy
In effect from 1 November 2026
This is what Heavenbound Games collects through its games, Heavenbound and Aldremar (their Discord apps, Aldremar's Activity window, and the websites and stores at heavenbound.fun and aldremar.heavenbound.fun), why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Hollow Sky has its own Privacy Notice.
Who is responsible
Heavenbound Games, the trading name of an individual based in the United Kingdom. For anything about your data, email support@heavenbound.fun.
What we collect, in both games
- From Discord: your user ID, username, display name and avatar. The websites, stores and Aldremar's window sign you in with Discord's "identify" permission only.
- Your game: your characters and everything about them: progress, items, choices, and what you do in the game, such as fights, trades and purchases.
- What you write into the game: character names, chat messages and any other text you submit.
- The stores: when you buy something, Stripe handles the payment. We keep the order, what you bought, how much you've spent and Stripe's ids for the payment. We never see or keep your card details. A signed cookie keeps you signed in to a store.
Heavenbound, also
- In the Heavenbound server, whether you're a member and which roles you hold (for things like booster rewards and invite counts).
- The app reads the messages you send it in DMs only to run the commands you type. It does not read messages in servers.
- The store's sign-in cookie lasts up to seven days.
Aldremar, also
- Your Discord server nickname, for showing your name in the game, and, if you allow it, permission to show what you are doing in your Discord status.
- When you set up a world for a server, Aldremar asks once more for Discord's "guilds" permission: the list of your servers, read then to check you may manage that one. The list is not stored; the answer is held in memory for ten minutes.
- Servers: which world a server plays, who chose it and when, and the server's name. When you type a friend's code, the bot asks Discord whether you are both in the Aldremar server; the answer is not kept.
- Chat: the last 200 messages in each room, and any reports of them. The owner can read reported messages.
- Your settings, including whether the bot may DM you (off unless you turn it on).
- The window keeps a copy of the last screen it drew, its own files and your display settings on your device, so it opens faster. None of it leaves your device.
Why
To run the games, save your progress, deliver what you buy, show leaderboards and other players' names in the games, stop cheating and abuse, and fix problems. We don't sell your data, there are no ads, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
- Discord, which the games run on.
- Stripe, which takes payments under its own privacy policy.
- Our hosting: the games run on rented servers, and encrypted backups of their databases are kept in cloud storage and on the developer's own machine.
What other players see
Your character's name, portrait or look, class, level, titles, rankings and some of what you do in the game (duels, sects, clans, parties, leaderboards, world events) are visible to other players. In Aldremar you can leave yourself out of player search in the window.
How long we keep it
For as long as the game runs or until you ask us to delete it. Purchase records may be kept longer where the law requires it for tax and accounting.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your data, or for your characters and data to be deleted, by emailing support@heavenbound.fun or asking the staff in the Heavenbound Discord server or the Aldremar Discord server. In Aldremar you can also delete your own character at any time (Start over, in the window). Deletion can't be undone. You can stop an app reaching you at any time by removing it from your Discord account.
Children
You must be old enough to hold a Discord account where you live. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
